Actalent in Detroit, MI is seeking a Lead EPMS Engineer to lead the design, integration, testing, and commissioning of EPMS and automation systems for mission-critical facilities. You will collaborate with contractors, customers, and field service teams to ensure safe, high‑quality, and high‑performing solutions.

The role emphasizes hands‑on configuration of EPMS/SCADA, IED integration, and factory/ site acceptance testing, with a focus on reliability and data integrity.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or related technical discipline.
• 7+ years of experience in EPMS, SCADA, industrial automation, power monitoring, or mission‑critical facility engineering.
• Strong understanding of electrical distribution systems and data center infrastructure.
• Proven experience integrating power monitoring devices and IEDs.
• Hands‑on experience with SCADA/HMI design, controls integration, and industrial communication networks.
• Ability to interpret one‑line diagrams, wiring diagrams, panel drawings, and electrical specifications.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills with customers and project stakeholders.
• Demonstrated leadership and problem‑solving abilities in technical project environments.
• Commitment to safety, quality, and customer satisfaction.
• Ability to manage multiple projects in fast‑paced, critical facility environments.
• High level of accountability, technical expertise, and attention to detail.

Responsibilities

• Lead the design, configuration, and implementation of EPMS, SCADA, and industrial automation solutions for mission-critical facilities.
• Integrate power monitoring devices and IEDs into EPMS and related control systems.
• Design and configure SCADA/HMI interfaces, including controls integration and industrial networks.
• Interpret and apply one-line diagrams, wiring diagrams, and electrical specifications.
• Lead FAT, SAT, and integrated systems testing to validate performance and compliance.
• Oversee startup and commissioning activities with contractors, customers, and field teams.
• Validate data accuracy, alarms, device communications, and reporting performance across EPMS.
• Provide troubleshooting support during commissioning and turnover.
• Manage multiple concurrent projects with focus on safety, quality, and customer satisfaction.
• Demonstrate leadership, accountability, and attention to detail in all phases.
