Job summary

The Epidemiologist III is a lead role within the Immunization Unit at Department of State Health Services in Austin. You will oversee complex epidemiologic analyses of vaccination coverage, vaccine-preventable diseases, and program performance.

You will coordinate with state and federal agencies, present findings, and guide a team of epidemiologists while applying strong analytical and leadership skills in a public health setting.

Qualifications

• Master’s degree in epidemiology/biostatistics with relevant public health focus.
• Advanced knowledge of epidemiology and biostatistics principles.
• Ability to lead, analyze data, and communicate findings clearly.

Responsibilities

• Lead epidemiology team and coordinate investigations.
• Analyze immunization data from multiple sources and prepare reports.
• Direct activities of epidemiologists and maintain IIS forecaster.
• Collaborate with IDCU and external partners on immunization topics.
• Develop presentations for diverse audiences and stakeholders.
