Job summary

L3Harris Technologies in Rochester, NY seeks a Lead, Project Engineering to drive EO/IR solutions design, development and production. You will lead cross-functional teams, manage program cost and schedule, and coordinate staffing to meet challenging timelines and budgets.

The role requires systems engineering across electrical, optical, mechanical and software domains, with risk assessment, planning and collaboration across multiple sites to satisfy mission requirements.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in engineering and 9+ years of experience; graduate degree with 7+ years acceptable.
• In lieu of a degree, 13+ years of related experience will be considered.

Responsibilities

• Lead cross-functional teams of 4–10 members to deliver on program goals.
• Manage program cost and schedule and coordinate staffing for current and upcoming programs.
• Define total systems design, technology, and processes to meet mission requirements.
• Coordinate across engineering domains to design, develop and test subsystems.
• Perform risk assessment, verification and validation activities and supportability analyses.
• Ensure engineering processes are followed and deliver essential documents and presentations.
