Job summary

HydroGeoLogic, Inc. is seeking a Risk Assessor II to support nationwide environmental projects including hazardous, toxic, and radioactive waste, PFAS, mining, and munitions response programs. You will prepare human health and ecological risk assessments per CERCLA/RCRA guidance, working with senior staff in a hybrid role based from one of several U.S.

office locations. The position emphasizes data integration, regulatory understanding, and practical decision making in project teams.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in toxicology, environmental science, public health, engineering or related field.
• At least 6 years in environmental consulting or regulatory work on DoD/EPA projects with site investigation and risk assessment experience.
• Experience with EPA risk guidance for Superfund and ecological risk assessment guidance.

Responsibilities

• Manage and analyze large environmental datasets.
• Prepare tables, figures, and data exhibits.
• Author risk assessments and risk assessment work plans.
• Review environmental and toxicological studies and reports.
• Support remedial strategy design and development of risk-based cleanup levels.
• Conduct statistical analyses and comparisons of background vs site data.
• Serve as project risk assessor in client and regulatory meetings.
• Lead and provide direction to junior staff.
