Job summary

HydroGeoLogic is hiring a Risk Assessor II to support national environmental projects, including hazardous, toxic, and radioactive waste, PFAS, and military munitions. You will prepare human health and ecological risk assessments with support from senior staff, and you may lead projects or sections with a self-directed approach.

The role is hybrid, based out of one of several U.S. office locations, and requires strong data analysis and regulatory integration to guide remedial decisions.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in toxicology, environmental science, public health, engineering, or related field.
  • 6+ years in environmental consulting or regulatory work on DoD/EPA projects with site investigations and risk assessment.
  • Experience with EPA Risk Assessment Guidance for Superfund and/or Ecological RIS guidance.
  • Knowledge of CERCLA and RCRA regulations and state adaptations.

Responsibilities

  • Manage and analyze large environmental datasets and develop tables/figures.
  • Author human health and ecological risk assessments and risk assessment work plans.
  • Review environmental and toxicological studies and reports for quality and compliance.
  • Develop risk-based cleanup levels and support remedial strategy design.
  • Lead junior staff and present findings to clients and regulators.
