Job summary

Foth is seeking a Lead Environmental Regulatory Specialist/Project Manager to oversee environmental, regulatory, and coastal/waterfront projects in the Northeast. This hybrid role can be located in Marion, MA; Newport, RI; Petaluma, CA; Green Bay, WI; Madison, WI; or Petaluma, CA offices.

You will coordinate fieldwork, obtain regulatory approvals, and lead client relationships while guiding multidisciplinary teams. A strong background in permitting and coastal regulation is essential.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in coastal, civil, or environmental-related field.
• Minimum of 10 years of experience in environmental engineering or related role.
• Experience in private-sector or government environmental, engineering or construction fields.
• Proven track record delivering local, state and federal permitting, especially in Massachusetts and Rhode Island.
• Experience with EPA NPDES permits and local zoning/planning boards.
• Experience reviewing architectural/engineering plans.

Responsibilities

• Oversee multiple environmental, regulatory, and construction projects in the Northeast.
• Maintain knowledge of coastal/waterfront regulations and work with agency personnel.
• Lead projects including coastal/waterfront development, docks, and shoreline stabilization.
• Support business growth with proposals, RFQ/RFP responses, and client presentations.
• Coordinate fieldwork, regulatory approvals, and collaboration with design and construction teams.
• Maintain relationships with high-level clients, government officials, and contractors.
• Participate in professional organizations and speaking engagements.
• Supervise preparation of environmental impact statements, assessments, and reports.
