Job summary

ERM is seeking a Managing Technical Consultant, Biologist/Regulatory Specialist for the Power and Technology Sectors in Seattle, WA. You will lead environmental impact assessments and permitting strategies for large-scale power and technology projects, navigating CEQA and NEPA requirements with state and federal agencies.

Ideal candidates bring 4+ years in regulatory consulting, strong client engagement, and leadership skills.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s in Biology, Environmental Science, or related field (or equivalent experience).
  • 4+ years of consulting experience with deep regulatory expertise for offshore/onshore power and tech projects.
  • Ability to lead complex permitting and compliance programs.
  • Not eligible for immigration sponsorship.

Responsibilities

  • Lead environmental impact assessments and permitting for CEQA/NEPA assessments.
  • Develop permitting strategies and negotiate with state and Federal agencies.
  • Oversee compliance for telecom, energy infrastructure, and linear development projects.
  • Collaborate with account teams to deliver strategic value and expand ERM’s services.
  • Mentor staff consultants and foster professional growth.
