Job summary

Terracon in Florida seeks a senior environmental engineer to provide technical leadership, project management, and oversight across the Waste Cleanup programs, including PRP, DSCP, and Brownfields.

You will lead multidisciplinary teams, develop innovative remediation strategies, and ensure compliance with FDEP regulations while managing scope, schedule, and budget. A PE license in Florida and 8–11 years’ experience are required.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Environmental Engineering, Civil Engineering or related degree.
  • Florida Professional Engineer License.
  • Minimum 8-11 years’ experience.
  • Master’s degree in Environmental Engineering preferred.
  • A valid driver’s license with acceptable violation history may be required.
  • Terracon Authorized Project Reviewer status (within 2 years of hire).

Responsibilities

  • Lead complex or multi-disciplinary environmental investigations and remedial design.
  • Oversee site investigations, risk assessments, and regulatory submissions.
  • Direct preparation and review of SARs, RAPs, and No Further Action recommendations.
  • Mentor junior staff and ensure technical QA of reports and calculations.
  • Interface with FDEP, clients, and contractors to present findings and strategies.
  • Support business development and client relations through proposals and scope development.
