Job summary

WM is seeking an experienced engineer to lead environmental and solid waste engineering and construction projects at disposal facilities. You will mentor junior staff and coordinate with senior management to advance WM’s leadership in waste services.

The role requires managing permits, budgets, and construction plans, evaluating sites for expansion, and collaborating with regulators and internal teams to deliver compliant, cost-effective solutions across client projects.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Engineering or related field.
• Minimum 5 years of related experience.

Responsibilities

• Direct and manage engineering and construction at solid waste facilities.
• Coordinate with regulators and present WM at permit meetings and site inspections.
• Oversee landfill construction budgets, bid documents, contracts and schedules.
• Track capital budgets and report to local management and corporate.
• Develop capacity projections and fill sequencing plans for cells.
• Mentor WM technical staff and collaborate with finance, legal, and safety teams.
