Job summary

Arcadis in Indianapolis seeks a Staff Environmental Engineer to work with geotechnical teams on environmental remediation projects, including sheet pile design, retaining walls, slope stability, and foundation design. You will manage field tasks, schedules, budgets, and mentor junior staff.

You will lead design efforts, coordinate with disciplines, prepare remedial documents, and participate in client and regulatory meetings, with travel up to 20% for field activities.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in engineering or equivalent.
• EIT certification and active PE pursuit encouraged.
• 4+ years of engineering experience in geotechnical/environmental fields.
• Knowledge of national standards and codes is required.

Responsibilities

• Lead environmental remediation and geotechnical design projects.
• Prepare remedial construction documents, calculations, and reports.
• Coordinate field work and assist in budgets and schedules.
• Mentor junior staff and coordinate with multidisciplinary teams.
• Present results to clients/regulators and participate in meetings.
• Travel up to 20% for field activities.
