D.R. Horton, Inc. in Arlington, TX is seeking a Principal Platform Architect to define the technical foundation for data, AI, and digital capabilities across the enterprise.

This is a hands-on architecture role focused on standards, patterns, and scalable platforms that enable engineering teams to move fast. You will translate strategy into implementable designs, lead enterprise‑level target architectures, and collaborate with Cybersecurity, Infrastructure, Data, and AI teams.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in CS, engineering, information systems, or related field.
• 10+ years in architecture, platform engineering, or related roles.
• Experience designing enterprise-scale data, AI, integration, software, and hybrid cloud architectures.
• Strong knowledge of security, APIs, data platforms, containers, and FinOps.

Responsibilities

• Define target-state architecture, reference patterns, standards, and reusable components.
• Lead architecture decisions across build/buy, cloud vs on-premises, and cost considerations.
• Chair architecture reviews for major platform changes and integrations.
• Translate strategy into implementable designs and work with engineers to production standards.
• Collaborate with Cybersecurity, Infrastructure, Data, AI, and governance teams.
