Job summary

Avfuel Corp in Ann Arbor, MI is seeking a Senior Network Architect to own and modernize our enterprise network across HQ and 30 remote sites nationwide. You will define architecture, drive infrastructure strategy, and lead execution with hands-on leadership.

The role requires deep Fortinet expertise, strong vendor management, and mentoring engineers while delivering secure, scalable networking solutions in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• 8+ years in network engineering and architecture roles.
• Proven experience designing and implementing enterprise network infrastructure.
• Strong hands-on Fortinet experience.
• Experience with Cisco switching technologies.
• Deep understanding of routing, firewall, WAN, VPNs and security.

Responsibilities

• Assess current network, identify gaps, and define a forward-looking architecture and roadmap.
• Lead standardization efforts, focusing on Fortinet across all locations.
• Own product selection, lifecycle management, and technology standards for network infrastructure.
• Design scalable, secure, and resilient network solutions to support business growth.
• Lead network modernization initiatives and manage projects from scope to delivery.
• Provide direction, mentorship, and technical oversight to engineers and contractors.
• Ensure on-time delivery with high quality and operational impact.
• Manage ISP relationships, vendor selection, and change management.
