Job summary

General Dynamics Information Technology, Inc. is seeking an experienced Network Engineering Technical Lead to guide enterprise network modernization for DoDIN-based operations.

You’ll lead architecture efforts, design scalable cloud/hybrid solutions, and drive automation while ensuring security and disaster recovery readiness. The role requires extensive DoD networking expertise, leadership experience, and the ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams and government leadership.

Qualifications

• 8+ years of progressive experience in enterprise Network Engineering
• 2+ years of technical leadership managing engineering projects
• 8+ years in DoDIN-A(NG) and related DoD environments with Cisco and Palo Alto techs (routing, switching, IDS/IPS, firewalls)

Responsibilities

• Lead Future Operations (FUOPS) initiatives and projects
• Prepare and review architecture design documents and implementation plans
• Design scalable cloud and hybrid infrastructure
• Implement automation to reduce manual tasks
• Plan capacity, forecast computing needs, and optimize costs
• Ensure security and disaster recovery readiness
• Perform enterprise architecture analyses and recommend improvements
• Develop, review, and defend change requests with the CCB
• Evaluate and integrate new networking technologies
• Coordinate with cross-functional teams and vendors
• Support AUNP objectives and AI integration roadmaps
