Job summary

General Dynamics Information Technology, Inc. seeks a Lead Enterprise IT Systems Architect to own the program's technical vision. You will design, integrate, modernize, and govern architectures across on-prem, cloud, hybrid, and classified environments for a major DoW program.

You will drive secure, automated, and scalable solutions and ensure alignment with RMF, NIST, and Zero Trust principles, while collaborating with government leadership and cybersecurity teams.

Qualifications

• Active TS/SCI with polygraph clearance.
• Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Information Systems, Engineering, or a related technical field.
• 10+ years in large-scale enterprise IT services, cloud adoption, system architecture, DevSecOps, and SOI/SOA of similar size.
• Proven track record designing resilient architectures with redundancy & risk mitigation.
• Experience designing and integrating multi-technology enterprise environments using Citrix/Azure VDI, AD/Exchange, NetApp.

Responsibilities

• Serve as the single enterprise architect for the program, establishing and governing architecture standards and technical direction.
• Develop and maintain enterprise architectures aligned with mission and operational requirements.
• Architect and optimize solutions across Citrix/Azure VDI, AD/Exchange, NetApp and UC platforms.
• Lead automation and orchestration using IaC, CI/CD pipelines, Terraform, Ansible, PowerShell DSC and Git workflows.
• Design secure, scalable architectures across on-prem, cloud, hybrid and classified environments.
• Ensure RMF/NIST controls, STIGs, Zero Trust, and DoW cybersecurity requirements are met.
• Produce enterprise roadmaps, transition plans, and authoritative architecture deliverables.
