Job summary

Oliver Wyman is seeking a Principal Architect to lead the design, assessment, and delivery of complex technology solutions. You will drive target architectures, oversee due diligence, and guide platform selections across cloud and on-premise ecosystems.

You will mentor teams, contribute to governance frameworks, and collaborate with clients and product teams to translate strategic goals into scalable, secure solutions. A strong track record in enterprise architecture and leadership is required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in a technical discipline; advanced degree preferred.
• 10–15+ years in solution/enterprise architecture or tech leadership roles.
• Experience delivering complex enterprise technology solutions across industries.
• Strong experience leading technology due diligence and architecture modernization initiatives.
• Proven track record of end-to-end solution architectures across apps, data, integrations, cloud, and security.
• Experience evaluating and selecting enterprise platforms with vendor assessments and PoCs.
• Hands-on cloud experience across AWS, Azure, and Google Cloud Platform.
• Experience designing AI, ML, analytics, GenAI-enabled solutions in enterprise settings.
• Strong understanding of software architecture patterns, APIs, and modern development practices.
• Experience communicating technical concepts to executives and guiding strategic tech decisions.
• Demonstrated success leading architecture governance and delivery support.

Responsibilities

• Lead technology strategy and architecture engagements aligned with client objectives.
• Conduct technology due diligence for mergers, acquisitions, investments, and transformations.
• Define end-to-end architectures across business apps, data, integrations, cloud, AI, and enterprise ecosystems.
• Develop blueprints, roadmaps, references, and transition plans for client programs.
• Lead platform evaluations, RFPs, PoCs, architecture reviews, and vendor assessments.
• Design GenAI and AI architectures with governance, security, and model operations.
• Provide architecture leadership during implementation to align business and technical needs.
• Mentor architects and engineers; contribute to reusable assets and accelerators.
• Establish governance processes, standards, and QA across engagements.
• Lead design workshops with executives and stakeholders.
• Assess cloud strategies across AWS, Azure, GCP, and hybrid environments.
• Mitigate risks and dependencies throughout program lifecycles.
• Support pre-sales with architecture leadership and technical guidance.
• Contribute to solution development and client pursuits.
