Job summary

Highmark Health is seeking a Lead Enterprise Architect to drive technology strategy, AI initiatives, API management, integration and security architectures across the enterprise. You will translate strategy into actionable roadmaps, reduce technical debt, and mentor senior engineers while aligning with business objectives.

Travel within the health payer domain is expected, with leadership responsibilities across multiple departments.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in Information Technology or closely related field required.
• 7 years in an IT discipline and 7 years in a Business discipline required.
• Preferred certifications such as TOGAF or AI/API/Integration/Security Architecture are a plus.

Responsibilities

• Lead strategic consultation to business customers in defining processes and architectures.
• Design large, complex systems and establish architecture components and standards.
• Develop and communicate functional and non‑functional requirements for complex systems.
• Provide mentoring and leadership across architecture teams and stakeholders.
• Conduct technical walkthroughs and problem resolution with cross‑functional teams.
