Job summary

Spokane County in Washington State is seeking a Wastewater Design Technician at the third level of the engineering technician series. The person will lead projects, assign tasks, and oversee sewer design, inspections, and related environmental and permitting work.

This role supports CAD drafting, cost estimates, and coordination with public and private stakeholders. Requires an Associate's degree in Engineering and 4 years of civil engineering experience, plus a valid WA driver's license.

Qualifications

• Associate's degree in Engineering from an accredited college.
• Four years of civil engineering experience or equivalent.
• Possession of a valid Washington Driver's License at hire.
• Equivalent education/experience accepted.

Responsibilities

• Reviews and tracks sewer projects for compliance with standards.
• Assists with permits, connections, and related charges.
• Leads workflow, assigns tasks, and monitors project progress.
• Coordinates with outside agencies and public stakeholders.
• Prepares cost estimates and connection disclosures for sewer projects.
