Job summary

Freeport-McMoRan Inc. in New Orleans seeks a Project Manager Engineering II to lead major capital projects in the mining sector. You will plan and execute safety, engineering, procurement, construction, and customer service across projects typically around $200 million.

The role requires leading multi-disciplinary teams, managing scope, cost, schedule, and quality, and reviewing scopes of work while supporting senior project managers. Domestic/international travel up to 15% is included.

Qualifications

• HS Diploma with 13 years related PM/engineering/construction experience.
• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or related field with 8+ years related experience.
• Thorough understanding of an engineering discipline.
• Ability to take a leadership role in the management of a project.

Responsibilities

• Plan and execute safety, engineering, procurement, construction, and customer service for major capital projects.
• Manage scope, cost, schedule, safety, and quality; monitor performance and apply cost controls.
• Review or develop scopes of work; support senior PMs on $200M+ projects.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
