Job summary

CSG Talent is partnering with a leading engineering consultancy to hire a Lead Engineer for Water/Wastewater Infrastructure in Melbourne, Florida. You will provide technical leadership on municipal projects and mentor junior engineers.

The role covers design of water supply, wastewater treatment, pump stations, and distribution systems, with opportunities to manage projects, review drawings, and coordinate with clients.

Qualifications

• 8–10 years of water/wastewater design experience
• Experience leading technical delivery or managing teams
• Engineering degree with a PE license

Responsibilities

• Lead engineering design for water supply, wastewater treatment, pump/lift stations, and distribution systems
• Support or serve as Project Manager, coordinating tasks, schedules and delivery
• Review construction drawings, specifications and hydraulic modelling reports for QA
• Collaborate with clients, contractors and project teams to resolve design challenges
• Prepare cost estimates, proposals and contract documents; support bidding and construction administration

Lead Engineer (Water/Wastewater Infrastructure)

CSG Talent are collaborating with a key partner of ours to identify an experienced Water/Wastewater Engineer to join their team in Melbourne, Florida. The role combines technical leadership, municipal project delivery and mentoring junior engineers. Our partner is an established engineering consultancy delivering water, wastewater and utility infrastructure projects for municipal clients.

Day to day overview:

• Lead engineering design for water supply, wastewater treatment, pump/lift stations, sanitary sewers and water distribution systems.
• Support or serve as Project Manager, coordinating technical tasks, schedules and project delivery.
• Review construction drawings, specifications and hydraulic modelling reports, providing technical guidance and quality assurance.
• Work closely with clients, contractors and project teams to resolve design and construction challenges.
• Prepare cost estimates, proposals and contract documents, and support bidding and construction administration.

The ideal person:

• Typically 8-10 years of experience designing water/wastewater systems and utility infrastructure
• Experience leading technical delivery, mentoring engineers, or managing technical teams
• Degree in Engineering with a PE
