Job summary

Pickett, an ESP Associates company, is seeking a Lead Engineer in Pensacola, FL to provide leadership and senior engineering expertise on complex HV and EHV overhead transmission projects. You will supervise engineers, coordinate surveys, review designs, and manage schedules while maintaining safety and quality, with a focus on client satisfaction and long-lasting relationships.

The position requires PE certification and 10+ years of transmission experience, with strong skills in PLS-CADD,

Qualifications

• PE certification is required.
• 10+ years of transmission line engineering experience in electric utility.
• Extensive experience using PLS-CADD.
• Experience with PLS-TOWER preferred.
• Extensive experience with design codes and standards such as: NESC, IEEE, ASCE and ACI.
• Experience liaising with substation, environmental, real estate, construction, and maintenance stakeholders.
• Strong understanding of industry standards (engineering, procurement, construction).
• Strong project management skills and experience.
• Ability to work in a safe manner and always obey safety regulations.
• Adept self-starter who thrives in a varied, deadline-driven work environment.

As a Lead Engineer, you will provide leadership and senior-level engineering/technicalexpertiseoncomplexelectrictransmissiondesignprojectsforhigh-voltage(HV)andextrahigh-voltage(EHV)overheadutilitysystems.

Some of the main responsibilities will be to ensure the team is meeting client requirements;both quality and schedule deadlines as well as ensuring the team is engaged and their inputis valued. We want to inspire our team members to produce at the level of excellence forwhichPickett isknown.

This role will require you to be hands-on and manage, prepare, review and/or provideguidance for line routing, survey coordination, PLS-CADD modeling, structure design,foundation design, clearance checks, plan/profile development, material specification andprocurement, constructability evaluations, work order package preparation, permitting,vendor/subcontractorcoordination and construction support.

• Extensive experience using PLS-CADD (required)

• Extensive experience liaising with substation, environmental, realestate,construction,andmaintenance stakeholders
