Job summary

A leading power solutions firm is seeking a Lead Engineer - Transmission Line to design transmission structures for high voltage applications. Responsibilities include engineering analysis, providing support during construction, and mentoring junior engineers. The ideal candidate will have a Bachelor's or Master's degree in Engineering, a PE License, and 5+ years of relevant experience. Qualifications

• Strong working knowledge of foundation design and analysis.

• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

Responsibilities

• Design transmission structures and power lines for high voltage applications.
• Conduct engineering analysis and simulations for transmission line design.
• Provide support to the project team during construction and installation.
• Mentor and train lower-level engineers and team members.
• Perform independent reviews of work performed by others, including calculations, drawings, specification, and transmission line PLS-CADD models.
• Provide support to the project team during construction and installation.
• Collaborate with other engineers and project managers to ensure project goals are met.
• Ensure compliance with applicable codes, standards, and regulations.
• Perform field work as required to support design, construction, and commissioning activities.
• Interface with clients, contractors, and other stakeholders to ensure project success.
• Participate in project meetings and provide technical support as required.

• Strong working knowledge of foundation design and analysis.
• Proficiency in engineering software such as PLS-CADD, PLS-POLE, FAD Tools, and AutoCAD.
• Familiarity with industry codes and standards such as NESC, ASCE, ACI, RUS, IEC, and IEEE.
• Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work independently and in a team environment.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
• Strong desire to mentor, train and lead next generation of engineers.
