Job summary

Qualus is seeking a Transmission Line Engineer to design transmission structures and high-voltage power lines. The role may be based in Lake Mary/Orlando, FL, Raleigh, NC, or Palm Beach, FL.

You will prepare specifications, perform analyses, and mentor junior staff to ensure project success. The ideal candidate holds a Bachelor's or Master's in Engineering, with 7+ years of experience and a PE license, plus strong CAD/analysis tool skills and knowledge of industry codes.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Engineering (Civil, Mechanical, Electrical).
• PE License required.
• 7+ years of experience in transmission line design for high voltage applications.
• Strong knowledge of structural design and analysis principles and tools.
• Strong working knowledge of foundation design and analysis.
• Proficiency in engineering software such as PLS-CADD, PLS-POLE, FAD Tools, and AutoCAD.
• Familiarity with industry codes and standards such as NESC, ASCE, ACI, RUS, IEC, and IEEE.
• Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work independently and in a team environment.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
• Strong desire to mentor, train and lead next generation of engineers.

Responsibilities
