Job summary

Puget Sound Energy is in search of a Principal Engineer for their Transmission and Asset Integration team. This role demands expertise in managing transmission portfolios and ensuring compliance with regulatory standards.

The ideal candidate will have a Bachelor's degree or PE license in engineering, alongside extensive experience in the field. Applicants will help develop transmission strategies critical for effective resource delivery and will oversee the execution of engineering projects.

Qualifications

• Extensive experience in planning, design, specification preparation, and project cost estimating.
• Experience leading engineering projects.
• Strong understanding of power markets and utility accounting practices.

Responsibilities

• Serve as a principal technical expert for the merchant transmission portfolio.
• Lead development and implementation of transmission strategies.
• Provide senior-level expertise on FERC Open Access Transmission Tariffs.
