Job summary

Nexans is seeking a Lead Engineer to join the Technical Department within Power Transmission. You will lead engineering activities for tenders, deliveries, customer support and complaints, coordinating with Project Managers, tender teams and plants across Nexans’ international network.

Qualifications

• BSc, MSc or equivalent university degree in engineering or a related technical discipline.
• Experience as a Project Engineer or in a similar engineering role.
• Experience coordinating multidisciplinary engineering activities on complex projects.
• Fluent in English, both oral and written.

Responsibilities

• Lead and coordinate engineering activities for projects and deliveries.
• Support tender teams with technical requirements, solutions and risk evaluations.
• Ensure engineering and Scope of Work (SOW) are delivered in accordance with contracts and internal guidelines.
• Coordinate internal and external interfaces within your area of responsibility.
• Follow up engineering budgets, costs, progress and schedules.
• Identify, evaluate and manage technical risks and opportunities.
• Facilitate engineering status meetings and report progress to the Department Manager or Project Manager.
• Ensure effective use of engineering resources throughout tenders, projects and deliveries.
• Collaborate closely with manufacturing plants, operational units, customers and other stakeholders.
• Contribute to the development and improvement of engineering processes, systems and ways of working.
