Job summary

Nexans invites applications for a Lead Engineer based in Oslo, Norway. You will lead engineering activities for tenders, deliveries, customer support and complaints within STSC, coordinating with Project Managers, tender teams, and plants across Nexans’ global network.

The role emphasizes on-time, on-budget, high-quality execution, with a focus on engineering ownership, process improvement, and collaboration across multidisciplinary teams.

Qualifications

• BSc, MSc or equivalent university degree in engineering or a related technical discipline.
• Experience as a Project Engineer or in a similar engineering role.
• Experience coordinating or leading engineering activities is an advantage.
• Fluent in English, both oral and written.
• Experience with multidisciplinary engineering activities and complex projects.
• Strong communication, collaboration and stakeholder management skills.

Responsibilities

• Lead and coordinate engineering activities for projects and deliveries.
• Support tender teams with technical requirements, solutions and risk evaluations.
• Ensure engineering is delivered on time, within budget and to contract requirements.
• Coordinate interfaces with manufacturing plants, operational units, customers and stakeholders.
• Contribute to development and improvement of engineering processes and practices.
