Qualifications

  • Bachelor/Master in engineering or equivalent with relevant work experience.
  • Minimum 5 years in project-driven offshore or subsea domains.
  • Experience with nearshore/shallow water installation.
  • Experience with barge operations and jack-up vessels.
  • Fluent in English, both oral and written.
  • Structured, analytical, and solution-oriented.
  • Willing to lead and work in project teams.

The Marine Installation Engineering group consists of almost 150 engineers working with marine operations. You will be part of the Cable Laying department, which enables the company in its ability to plan and execute marine installation activities worldwide. HOW YOU MAKE AN IMPACT

You will work in the Cable Laying department within the Marine Installation Engineering group as a Senior or Specialist Engineer, with the level of the position tailored to your experience and expertise. You will be responsible for deliverables such as:

  • Leading multidiscipline projects: stepping into roles like Project Engineer or Marine Engineering Lead.
  • Direct core operations: Focus heavily on marine and nearshore installation activities, together with a specialized team of cable installation, survey, and protection engineers.
  • Deliver technical excellence: Deliver critical project documentation, including advanced procedures, operational analyses, and technical specifications for equipment and services.
  • Manage operational flow: Plan and schedule marine and nearshore operations while effectively managing internal and external execution packages.
  • Interface with Clients: If applicable, act as the primary technical point of contact, managing regular client communications and aligning on engineering requirements.
  • Drive technical innovation: Actively participate in developing, refining, and taking ownership of specialized technical solutions across the department.
  • Follow projects end-to-end: Bridge the gap between engineering and execution by taking projects from initial office design straight through to site follow-up, both offshore and nearshore.
  • Champion safety and quality: Make a lasting impact by actively championing internal Quality, Health, Safety, and Environment (HSE) initiatives.
YOUR STARTING POINT

  • Higher technical education from college or university (bachelor / master's degree) and / or other relevant work experience.
  • Minimum 5 years relevant experience from project driven business, experience from offshore installation or subsea operations is a plus.
  • Experience from nearshore/shallow water installation.
  • Experience with barge operations, jack-up barges and other nearshore vessel/tools
  • Enjoy to lead and work in project teams but also independently.
  • Structured and accurate mindset.
  • Creative and has an analytical and solution-oriented approach to challenges.
  • Like to seek more knowledge within your own discipline area and other interface areas.
  • Experience with Installation analyses is a plus.
  • Fluent in English, – oral and written.
