Job summary

Lillibridge Healthcare Services is seeking a Lead Engineer, Research to oversee operation, maintenance, and reliability of building systems across research facilities. This role ensures a safe, compliant environment for tenants, patients, and staff while supporting lab operations.

Responsibilities include preventive maintenance, emergencies, and coordinating with vendors. Must have maintenance experience, healthcare or CRE familiarity, and be located in Hershey area with after-hours availability.

  • Complete maintenance and repair work orders using work order software
  • Perform routine inspections and preventive maintenance on building systems and equipment
  • Respond promptly to emergencies and resolve issues safely and efficiently
  • Maintain inventory of tools, supplies, and parts
  • Communicate effectively with tenants, vendors, and team members regarding building needs
  • Ensure all work complies with safety standards, policies, and procedures
  • Support the Operations Manager, Research in monitoring building operations and vendor performance
  • Perform other duties and special projects as assigned

About the Role

The Lead Engineer, Research supports a portfolio of on-campus and/or off-campus research, innovation, and laboratory buildings. This role is responsible for the operation, maintenance, and reliability of building systems, ensuring a safe, compliant, and high-performing environment for tenants, clients, patients, and visitors. The Lead Engineer, Research plays a critical role in maintaining building infrastructure and delivering exceptional service to support the unique needs of research and laboratory operations. Key responsibilities may include, but are not limited to:

  • Complete maintenance and repair work orders using work order software

  • Perform routine inspections and preventive maintenance on building systems and equipment

  • Respond promptly to emergencies and resolve issues safely and efficiently

  • Maintain inventory of tools, supplies, and parts

  • Communicate effectively with tenants, vendors, and team membersregardingbuilding needs

  • Ensure all workcomplies withsafety standards, policies, and procedures

  • Support theOperations Manager, Researchin monitoring building operations and vendor performance

  • Perform other duties and special projects as assigned

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or GEDrequired; technical or vocational training in maintenance-related fields preferred

Valid driver’s license and ability to travel between assigned properties as needed

  • Minimum of6years of related maintenance experience;preferably inhealthcare, commercial real estate, or hospital environments

  • Certifications (e.g., HVAC, CFC Handling, Electrical, Plumbing) preferred

  • Mustbe located inthe Hershey, PAareawith availability for after-hours emergencies and participation in on-call rotation

  • Must be in office, on-site, 5 days a week and drive to the various properties withemployee ownedvehicle, as needed

  • Ability to lift at least 50 pounds, climb ladders/stairs, and perform extensive walking

  • Basic computer skills and comfort using maintenance or work order software

  • Must be legally authorized to work in the United States without need for employer sponsorship now or in the future
