Job summary

General Motors in Warren, MI seeks a Technical Lead to support seat structures EGM and a ~10-person DRE team, focusing on leadership, advancement, and optimization of the Structure CCC and CMS seat structures within a large-scale program.

You will drive design integration, tradeoffs, and DFMEA processes, while mentoring engineers and coordinating with cross-functional teams to achieve performance, weight and cost targets. Hybrid work with relocation support is offered.

Qualifications

• Bachelor of Science in Engineering required.
• Extensive experience in seat structures and system development.
• Strong communication, organizational and planning capabilities.

Responsibilities

• Lead design development and integration of seat structures programs.
• Coordinate integration and tradeoffs to optimize enterprise cost.
• Provide technical leadership for seat structures and seat assembly performance.
• Drive DFSS and DFMEA processes and ensure robust design development.
• Coach DREs and cross-functional teams to resolve issues and share knowledge.
