Job summary

GE Aerospace in the United States is seeking an Advanced Lead Engineer – Midframe Structures Design to lead design, analysis, and maturation of midframe components for gas turbine engines, collaborating with cross-functional teams across stress, thermal, manufacturing, materials, and systems.

The role drives technical deliverables, manages design changes, mentors engineers, and leads the Midframe scrum to align with program milestones and risk plans.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 3 years of experience in mechanical engineering.

Responsibilities

• Lead the design, development, analysis, and maturation of midframe components and structures for gas turbine engine applications.
• Provide technical leadership for component ownership, design decisions, trade studies, and issue resolution.
• Partner with stress, thermal, manufacturing, materials, systems, and program teams to deliver robust solutions.
• Drive execution of technical deliverables to meet safety, quality, delivery, and cost objectives.
• Manage design changes, support producibility improvements, and coordinate through validation and release processes.
• Lead and facilitate the Midframe weekly scrum, including assembly and test, hardware WIP and delivery, QDC activities and component testing.
• Communicate status, risks, decisions, and recovery plans clearly to stakeholders and leadership.
• Mentor engineers and help strengthen technical rigor, team engagement, and standard work.
