Job summary

Dutch Bros Coffee is seeking an Integration Lead to design and develop enterprise-scale integration solutions across microservices, APIs, and real-time streaming platforms. You will work with vendors and stakeholders to define strategies, tooling, licensing, and scalable architecture models.

The role requires deep Kafka architecture knowledge, real-time data processing, and strong collaboration across technical teams. Remote-flexible with a preference for Phoenix-area offices.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in related fields or 10 years of related experience.
• Strong API development experience (RESTful and SOAP) and cloud/microservices architecture.
• ETL experience with Talend, Informatica, Matillion, Workato or similar tools.
• Proficiency in real-time data integration, event-driven architectures and modern integration tools.
• Expertise in Kafka architecture including Kafka Streams, KSQL, Schema Registry and Kafka Connect.
• Cloud & Containerization experience with Kubernetes for deploying, scaling and managing integrations.
• ETL/ELT & DataOps experience with real-time data processing.
• Experience with API management tools, governance and regulatory compliance.
• Knowledge of security, authentication and authorization in integration platforms (OAuth, JWT, API Gateway).
• Familiarity with CI/CD, DevOps, and Infrastructure as Code (Terraform, Kubernetes, Helm).
• Excellent communication to explain technical solutions to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.

Responsibilities

• Architect scalable integration frameworks supporting API-based integrations, real-time data pipelines, and cloud-native environments.
• Develop RESTful and SOAP APIs with focus on performance and reliability.
• Design and optimize ETL/ELT processes and data flows using tools like Fivetran, MuleSoft, Boomi, Talend and Informatica.
• Leverage cloud platforms (AWS, Azure) and Kubernetes to deploy and manage integrations.
• Implement real-time data pipelines and event-driven architectures to ensure continuous data flow.
• Enforce data governance policies for quality, security, and regulatory compliance.
• Collaborate with stakeholders to align integration strategies with business needs.
• Continuously learn and evolve technical skills while contributing to team success.
• Design solutions that support data-driven decision-making and business objectives.
• Evaluate, recommend and scale integration platforms, coordinating licensing with vendors.

Job Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in related fields (Computer Science, Engineering, Education, Business, Technical, Information Technology, Science, Information Systems, Mathematics, Computer), or 10 years of related experience.
• Technical Expertise: Strong experience in API development (RESTful and SOAP), cloud platforms (AWS, Azure), and microservices architecture.
• ETL experience with Talend, Informatica, Matillion, Workato or similar tools, required
• Integration Technologies: Proficiency in real-time data integration, event-driven architectures, and modern integration tools.

• Cloud & Containerization: Solid experience with Kubernetes (K8s) for deploying, scaling, and managing integrations.

• API Management: Experience with API management tools. Governance & Compliance: Proven track record of implementing data governance frameworks ensuring data quality, security, and compliance.

Location Requirement

This position is eligible for remote work within any state Dutch Bros currently resides in (AL, AZ, CA, CO, FL, ID, KS, KY, MO, NM, NV, OK, OR, TN, TX, UT, WA, WY). However, preference is for this role to be located in the Greater Phoenix area with 4 days per week in the office (Mon-Thurs); Fridays are optional remote work days.
