The role will involve supporting security tooling such as SIEM, endpoint protection, email security, and identity and access management; assisting with vulnerability scanning and remediation tracking; monitoring and triaging security alerts and escalating potential incidents; and partnering with IT and engineering teams to apply secure configurations and remediate risks. **Job Qualifications:** * Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field (cybersecurity, information technology, computer science, etc.) or equivalent hands-on experience preferred.* 0-1+ years experience in a cybersecurity, IT, systems, or network role, including internships or lab/home-lab experience.* Working knowledge of core security concepts: the CIA triad, common attack techniques, defense in depth, and least privilege.* Exposure to security tooling such as SIEM, EDR, vulnerability scanners, email security, or identity and access management platforms preferred.* Familiarity with operating systems (Windows, Linux, macOS), networking fundamentals (TCP/IP, DNS, firewalls, VPN), and cloud platforms (AWS or Azure) is a plus.* Familiarity with scripting or automation (Python, PowerShell, Bash) to reduce manual security work is a plus.* Good communication skills; ability to explain security risks and requirements to technical and non-technical audiences.* Strong problem-solving skills, attention to detail, adaptability, ability to multitask, and think critically.* Security certifications such as CompTIA Security+, Network+, SSCP, or cloud security fundamentals are a plus or willingness to obtain.**Location Requirement:** This role is located in Tempe, Arizona.
