Job summary

Ford Motor Company in Dearborn, MI is seeking an IPTSE Engine Design Supervisor to lead design, release and attribute delivery of the engine powerpack for current and forward model applications.

You will coordinate with cross-functional teams, manage testing, DV/PV plans, and interface with suppliers and plants, while driving warranty reduction and cost-improvement initiatives in a hybrid environment onsite four days a week.

Qualifications

• Bachelor of Science in Engineering or related field.
• 8+ years D&R experience with internal combustion engines.
• Ability to lead in a team environment and present to management.
• Knowledge of FMEA, Control Plans, DV/PV Plans, GD&T.

Responsibilities

• Lead engineering development for engine systems and components.
• Ensure attributes meet program targets (power, torque, FE, weight, emissions, NVH).
• Interface with suppliers, cross-functional teams and plants.
• Coordinate prototype delivery and lead engine assembly activity.
• Lead warranty reduction, cost reduction ideas and change control activities.
