Job summary

Cowboy Space Corp. in the United States seeks an Engine Lead to own the engine program from development through flight, directing a team of propulsion, structural, mechanical, avionics, software, and test engineers to deliver a reusable, flight-proven engine.

You will be chief engineer and lead systems engineer, coordinating with vehicle integration, manufacturing, test, and launch operations. Strong communication and fast learning are essential in this dynamic role.

Qualifications

  • Experience designing, building, or testing rocket engines.
  • Experience on development engine programs through lifecycle.
  • Ability to lead cross-disciplinary teams of propulsion, mechanical, electrical, avionics and software engineers.

Responsibilities

  • Own the engine program from development through flight.
  • Develop engine operation procedures and limits.
  • Define and manage schedule and budget for the engine program.
  • Define verification and qualification plans for engine requirements.
  • Participate in test and launch operations for real-time decisions.
  • Own upgrade plan for reliability, reuse, and production rate.
