Job summary

Cowboy Space Corp. is seeking a Lead Configurator / Integrator to own the physical architecture of our engines and vehicle subsystems.

You will turn schematics into buildable, serviceable layouts, routing fluid conductors, mounting hardware, and ensuring designs meet loads, thermal, and assembly requirements. The role sits at the interface of sketches, CAD, physics, and AI-assisted tools, reporting to the Head of Valves & Fluid Systems.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical, Aerospace, or related engineering field.
  • 5+ years of experience in configuration design, systems integration, packaging, or layout engineering.
  • Proficiency in 3D CAD with ability to manage large assemblies.
  • Strong understanding of loads, bracketry and flight hardware.

Responsibilities

  • Own the configuration and packaging of engine assemblies and subsystems.
  • Design and route fluid conductors and mounting hardware.
  • Drive layout decisions with assembly sequence and technician access.
  • Coordinate with propulsion, avionics, and mechanisms teams.
  • Mentor designers on best practices for serviceability.
