Job summary

Providence Portland Medical Center is seeking a Lead Emergency Technician to oversee Emergency Technicians and coordinate orientation, stocking, and daily checklists in a fast-paced emergency department.

The role emphasizes leadership, staff mentorship, and maintaining high standards of patient care with excellent customer service, reporting to the Supervisor of Emergency Services.

Qualifications

• H.S. Diploma or GED is required.
• Upon hire: National Provider BLS - American Heart Association.
• 2 years Recent Emergency Technician experience with demonstrated leadership abilities.

Responsibilities

• Oversees the work of Emergency Technicians.
• Coordinates the orientation of new Emergency Technicians, Patient Care Techs and Health Unit Coordinators.
• Manages stocking and cleaning of the department and completion of daily checklists.
• Acts as a resource to other technicians and promotes high-quality patient care with strong customer service.
• Reports to the Supervisor of Emergency Services.

Lead Emergency Technician at Providence Portland Medical Center has multiple shifts and FTEs available.

The Lead Emergency Technician oversees the work of Emergency Technicians. The position coordinates the completion of the orientation on all new Emergency Technicians, Patient Care Techs and Health Unit Coordinators, in a timely manner, working collaboratively with the Nurse Educator. The position oversees the stocking of and cleaning of the department as well as the completion of all daily checklists. Acts as a resource to the other technicians. Promotes and supports quality patient care with customer service. The position reports to the Supervisor of Emergency Services.

Required Qualifications:
