Job summary

McLaren Health Care in Michigan seeks a nurse leader to collaborate with physicians to plan care and return patients to optimal health, delivering bedside nursing and overseeing support staff.

You will lead a team to integrate evidence-based practice, delegate and coordinate nursing tasks, participate in patient conferences, and guide discharge planning while mentoring new staff.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited school of nursing with Michigan license
• BLS certification from AHA or Red Cross
• ACLS within 6 months of hire/transfer
• Basic Neuroscience course completed within first 6 months
• Basic Dysrhythmia course completed
• TNCC within 1 year of hire/transfer
• ENPC within 2 years of hire/transfer

Responsibilities

• Integrating evidence-based knowledge into practice
• Delegation and coordination of nursing tasks
• Facilitates/participates in patient conferences
• Meets discharge/transfer teaching needs and plans accordingly
• Pursues professional education opportunities
• Teaches and guides professional and ancillary personnel
• Precepts/mentors new employees and students
• Leads team to ensure proper patient placement and assignments
