Job summary

DESC is a social services organization focused on housing solutions for people experiencing homelessness and complex behavioral health needs. The Case Manager Supervisor leads a team of Case Managers at DESC's Emergency Housing project, The Gateway, providing housing-oriented case management and support services to residents.

The role emphasizes crisis intervention, harm reduction, and coordination with community resources to secure housing and services for clients.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in social services or management is required.
• Two years of relevant work experience in human services, preferably with homelessness or behavioral health populations.
• One year of supervisory or leadership experience.
• Current Washington Department of Health minimum credential as an Agency Affiliated Counselor or ability to obtain upon hire.

Responsibilities

• Assist Project Manager in planning, implementation and coordination of The Gateway's services.
• Ensure compliance with contract and procedure requirements.
• Promote positive relationships with the surrounding neighborhood.
• Provide supervision and consultation for team members, including goal planning and referrals.
• Supervise Case Managers, including hiring and orientation of Gateway staff.
• Coordinate with external agencies to ensure continuity of client care.
• Provide intensive case management to facilitate access to housing, medical and behavioral health services.

Education
