Job summary

ALSO in Palo Alto is seeking a Sr. Staff Validation & Tools Engineer focused on Embedded Firmware and Software Validation.

You will own the validation strategy, tooling architecture, and system-level quality approach for our flagship and next-generation products. This is a hands-on role where you build and scale validation frameworks across firmware, software, connectivity, mobile, and cloud-adjacent systems, partner with multiple teams, and mentor engineers to foster a quality-first culture in

Qualifications

• 10+ years in software quality engineering and embedded testing.
• Led validation strategies for complex embedded platforms.
• Hands-on with RTOS/Linux-based systems.
• Proven ability to scale validation infrastructure.

Responsibilities

• Define the technical vision and roadmap for validation across firmware, software, and connectivity.
• Design and maintain SIL/HIL validation infrastructure for automated testing.
• Develop validation tooling and CI/CD integration to ensure release readiness.
• Lead root-cause analysis for complex system issues.
• Mentor engineers on validation strategy and automation best practices.
• Communicate validation status and risks to leadership.
