Job summary

L3Harris Space and Mission Systems seeks a Lead, Embedded Software Engineer for Wilmington, MA to design, develop, and implement real-time embedded flight software for space-based imaging payloads. You will guide the full software lifecycle from development to testing and mission integration.

Requires strong RTOS and C/C++ skills; relocation assistance and a sign-on bonus up to $30K are available. U.S. security clearance eligibility is required; 9/80 schedule offered.

Qualifications

• Embedded software development, system design, debugging and integration for aerospace applications.
• Experience with RTOS (VxWorks, FreeRTOS, RTLinux, QNX) and simulators (MATLAB/Simulink).
• Proficiency in C/C++, Python and scripting for flight software.

Responsibilities

• Lead the design and implementation of real-time embedded flight software for space-based imaging payloads.
• Integrate and test embedded flight systems at software/hardware level.
• Develop and review software artifacts, including documentation and test plans.
