Leonardo DRS Land Systems in Bridgeton, MO is seeking a Senior Embedded Software Engineer for a full-time role. The position offers in-person or hybrid work and involves designing, coding, testing, and optimizing embedded software across defense projects.

You will collaborate with engineers from multiple disciplines, apply CS fundamentals, and contribute to test plans. Strong experience with C/C++/Java and embedded systems is required.

Formación

• Master's Degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering or related field, or equivalent experience.
• 8+ years delivering high-quality, innovative applications and programming in C/C++/C#/Java.
• Strong CS fundamentals in algorithms, problem solving, and complexity analysis.
• Practical experience with embedded hardware.
• Experience in OO design and development.
• Experience following formal software development processes.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Detail-oriented, organized, able to work in a team or independently.
• Experience with Linux/Unix and/or Windows.
• Experience with Git or other version control systems.

Responsabilidades

• Design and write embedded software code.
• Lead projects and mentor other engineers.
• Review customer specs and develop designs to support them.
• Develop, document and support testing of products and subsystems.
• Provide budget, cost and schedule input for design assignments.
• Document component and subsystem specifications.
• Evaluate supplier subsystems and services.
• Apply fundamental CS concepts to create software solutions.
