Job summary

Qualifications

• BS degree in Computer Science/Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Aerospace, Mechanical Engineering or related field.
• 12-15 years of relevant experience.
• Experience with Python, C, C++11, C++ STL and/or OpenCL.
• Proficiency with Visual Studio, Eclipse and defect tracking tools.
• Experience with RS-485/RS-232/CAN/I2C/SPI/USB protocols.

Responsibilities

• Writes and tests software to support integration of sensors and embedded processors into aircraft or robotic systems.
• Designs and implements software for prototypes and products using AeroVironment tools.
• Leads in writing system requirements, test plans, and validation testing.
• Works with hardware selection and estimates processing needs.
• Leads rapid prototyping, transition to production, and support for certification.
• Develops proof of concept demonstrations and performs design reviews.
