Job summary

AeroVironment, Inc. is seeking a motivated Junior Software Engineer to join our engineering team. You will design, develop, and analyze low-level software, embedded systems, and desktop applications across Windows and Unix, participating in DevOps practices and CI pipelines.

This is an ideal entry- to mid-level role to deepen skills in C, C++, and Python within a high-impact cyber engineering context. Ideal candidates will have a BS in a technical field, 0–4 years of experience, and hands-on

Qualifications

• BS in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Information Technology or related technical discipline.
• 0–4 years of experience developing applications for Windows and Unix-based systems.
• Proficiency in C, C++, and Python (experience with C# or Java is a plus).
• Hands-on experience with deployment/build tools such as Artifactory, Docker, Terraform, Ansible, and Packer.
• Exposure to CI/CD workflows using Jenkins or Bamboo.
• Basic understanding of hardware architecture and low-level software interaction.
• Active TS/SCI with polygraph.

Responsibilities

• Develop software drivers, desktop applications, and client/server apps for Windows and Unix.
• Design and implement low-level embedded software in C, C++, and Python.
• Analyze OS and hardware architectures for signal processing and system evaluation.
• Collaborate on DevOps processes by building and deploying infrastructure technologies.
• Support CI/CD pipelines to enable automated testing, integration, and deployment.
