A leading technology company is seeking a Lead Embedded Software Engineer in Dayton, OH. This role involves designing and implementing real-time processing solutions for advanced Radar systems. The Systems Development Division (SDD) delivers technology advantage into users' hands by providing capabilities focused on end-customer needs that operate in relevant environments and timeframes. SDD considers the entire lifecycle of solutions, from conceptualization and architecture to development and deployment, leveraging innovative technologies to deliver first-of-a-kind systems. Current projects include programs for airborne and space RF as well as advanced testing enabled by multi-function, multi-modal capabilities.
SDD is seeking a Lead Embedded Software Engineer to support the design, development, and implementation of real-time processing solutions in software for advanced multi-function Radar systems. You will collaborate with researchers and engineers on multidisciplinary teams to develop innovative solutions related to Radar and EW/RF convergence. Responsibilities include identifying and evaluating technical approaches, designing and implementing digital signal processing architectures, and leading teams throughout the signal processing chain for radar applications in various operational environments.
You will perform performance analysis through simulations and real-world testing to validate and optimize products. Additionally, you will evaluate current and future capabilities, identify improvements, and recommend solutions. Since systems developed are deployed in operational environments, products must meet standards of quality, maintainability, and reusability. The role offers opportunities for technical leadership, design, analysis, development, testing, and deployment of capabilities.
The ideal candidate will demonstrate leadership and expertise in areas such as radar, electronic warfare, digital signal processing, systems engineering, and test & evaluation. Skills in working with multidisciplinary teams, understanding relevant technologies, and delivering systems within tight deadlines are essential. Strong interpersonal, communication, and technical skills are required, along with self-motivation, attention to detail, and effective communication abilities.
