Job summary

Sidus Space, based on Florida's Space Coast, seeks a Principal Systems Engineer to drive the design and verification of advanced microelectronic and compute‑intensive hardware. The role focuses on 3U VPX modules, AI accelerators, and high‑density embedded systems, requiring leadership across cross‑functional teams for rapid development and production readiness.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Systems Engineering, or related STEM field (equivalent experience considered).
• Eight (8) years of engineering experience in systems architecture, electronics development, requirements management, and verification of complex hardware.

Responsibilities

• Lead R&D on next‑gen embedded computing architectures with system specs, ICDs, and test plans.
• Design, prototyping, and validation of microelectronic hardware and AI accelerators.
• Collaborate with electrical, mechanical, software, and manufacturing teams for seamless integration.
• Troubleshoot multi‑board assemblies, embedded processors, and FPGA‑based designs.
• Provide guidance for hardware bring‑up, testing, debug, and qualification.
• Maintain verification matrices, CM records, test results, and lifecycle artifacts.
• Communicate clearly with stakeholders to align on rapid development cycles.
• Uphold respectful, collaborative culture and perform other duties as assigned.
