Job summary

ESI Motion in Simi Valley, CA, seeks a senior hardware engineer to lead development, design, system integration and maintenance of embedded hardware for space and aerospace projects.

This role requires deep experience in analog/digital electronics and power electronics, plus embedded software leadership. It includes mentoring responsibilities and a sign-on bonus up to $20,000.

You will collaborate across disciplines to deliver robust hardware and guide releases from concept to qualification.

Qualifications

• Advanced application of electrical and software engineering concepts.
• Embedded systems software design for microcontroller-based hardware.
• Experience with IGBTs, MOSFETs and power electronics.
• Knowledge of TCP/IP and C/C++ is a plus.
• Strong release management and document control.
• Knowledge of analog and digital circuits and ADC/DACs.
• Familiarity with schematic capture and design tools.
• Experience in project management methodologies.

Responsibilities

• Lead development and maintenance of embedded hardware for space/aerospace projects.
• Oversee digital/analog electronics design and test activities.
• Coordinate hardware releases, version upgrades, and interfaces.
• Interface with customers to determine requirements and provide solutions.
• Mentor and guide team members across engineering disciplines.
