General Dynamics Mission Systems in Taunton, MA is seeking a Sr. Firmware Engineer to own an existing firmware platform and drive its evolution in a defense/aerospace context.

The contract is onsite only, 6–12 months with potential extension, and includes an interview process with an HM, local onsite or MS Teams for non-local candidates. You will develop and debug C/C++ on ARM Cortex-M, run RTOS-based software, integrate firmware with hardware interfaces (SPI, I2C, UART, GPIO), and perform bench

Qualifications

• Active DoD Secret Clearance required.
• US Citizenship required.
• 6–8+ years of firmware/embedded experience.
• Strong C/C++ programming.
• Hands-on ARM Cortex-M microcontrollers.
• RTOS experience.
• Embedded protocols: SPI, I2C, UART, GPIO.
• ADC, PWM, Timers.
• Strong firmware + hardware integration knowledge.
• Ability to independently make technical decisions.

Responsibilities

• Own and maintain an existing firmware platform.
• Write and debug C/C++ on ARM Cortex-M.
• Work with RTOS and hardware interfaces.
• Conduct bench testing on hardware.
• Drive and communicate technical decisions to the team.
