Job summary

William Blair seeks a Lead AI Engineer to join the AI Innovation Function within the Investment Banking AI & Technology team. You will be embedded with deal teams, shaping workflows and delivering AI-powered tooling with end-to-end accountability.

You will establish engineering standards, manage full stack from data pipelines to LLM orchestration, and collaborate across enterprise systems like Salesforce. Qualified candidates bring 5+ years of full-stack experience and a track record of

Qualifications

Experience building production AI apps with LLMs and agents.
Proficient in end-to-end software delivery and reliability.
Familiar with capital markets and investment banking context.
Strong data engineering and feature pipelines.
Experience with enterprise CRM integrations.

Responsibilities

Design and build the integration layer between Claude, Salesforce CRM, and ML models.
Develop AI agents and multi-step LLM apps for high-value use cases.
Set engineering standards for CI/CD, testing, and docs.
Collaborate with deal teams to map workflows and identify automation.
Build data pipelines for feature engineering and model training using Databricks and Dagster.
Translate bankers' pain points into rapid proofs of concept.
Evaluate and integrate third-party AI tools via APIs with Salesforce.
Implement data security and governance for confidential deal data.
