Qualifications

• Texas Funeral Director and Embalming licenses required.
• Crematory Certificate or ability to obtain within 30 days.
• Certified Crematory Operator with 3 years of experience.
• At least 3 years of supervisory experience required.
• Knowledge of computers and software applications is required.
• Valid state driver’s license and clean driving record.

Responsibilities

• Oversee all preparation room and embalming activities.
• Oversee all crematory operations including paperwork review with certified crematory operators.
• Oversee and coordinate all transportation and removal teams.
• Care for the deceased including embalming, removals, cosmetology, dressing, and related tasks.
• Run crematory as needed.
• Maintain compliance with licensing authorities for embalming and human remains prep.
• Create and maintain Embalming reports and ensure removal paperwork is accurate.
• Keep a log of all deceased in care and transfers.
• Promote safe work environment and universal precautions.
• Assist with maintenance of preparation room and facility; manage inventory of caskets and supplies.
• Maintain accurate records for vital statistics and mortuary laws.
