Qualifications

• Texas embalming license is required.

• Experience supervising and scheduling multiple employees.
• Working knowledge of Care Center operations, processes, procedures, and standards.
• Knowledge of computers and software applications is required.
• Crematory Certificate or ability to obtain within 30 days.
• Valid state driver’s license and clean driving record.

Responsibilities

• Care for the deceased through embalming, removals, cosmetology, dressing, hairstyling, and related prep.
• Run crematory as needed.
• Follow licensing regulations for embalming and preparation.
• Create and maintain embalming reports and paperwork.
• Log all deceased in care and transfers.
• Promote a safe work environment and universal precautions.
• Assist with maintenance of preparation room and inventory for funeral supplies.
• Supervise the prep room.
• Schedule removals and assist when needed.
• Maintain records for vital statistics and mortuary laws.
