Job summary

Milford School District is seeking an Anticipated Elementary Special Education Teacher, temporary for the 26-27 school year, starting November 2026. Qualifications

• Possess or be eligible for a valid Delaware teaching license and be certified as Special Education Teacher of Students with Disabilities in accordance with 14 Del. C. § 1571.
• Certified as Elementary Teacher in accordance with 14 Del. C. § 1521.

Responsibilities

• Lead teacher and primary case manager for a self-contained environment providing specialized instruction and behavioral supports.
• Plan and deliver differentiated, standards-based instruction aligned to grade-level content.
• Develop and monitor individualized behavior support plans and instructional strategies.
• Collaborate with families and multidisciplinary teams to implement IEPs and MTSS-aligned supports.
• Maintain documentation including IEPs and progress monitoring, ensuring compliance with regulations.
